Mayor & Board of Trustees
Town of Mountain View
Board of Trustees
The Town of Mountain View operates under a Board of Trustees form of government, where the governing body makes decisions for the Town through votes taken during properly posted public meetings. The Board works together with Town staff to develop ordinances, policies, and plans that meet the needs of the community. Town employees research, prepare, and present items for consideration, and the Board reviews, provides direction, and takes formal action through a vote of the governing body.
The Board is composed of five elected officials, each of whom has an equal vote on matters that appear on a meeting agenda. All official actions are taken by the Board as a whole.
